The Trestler House's Foundation
The Trestler House's Foundation was created in 1977. The property was acquired in 1984, thanks to the invaluable support provided by Parks Canada and the MacDonald Stewart Foundation.

Mission
To ensure the preservation of this magnificent ancestral home (former residence/store) and to increase its reputation by fostering closer ties between the business, scientific, cultural and social communities.
To promote its mission as a center of arts and culture in our greater region.
To promote the history and architecture of this monument, listed both Provincially (1976) and Federally (1969), and designated by the public as one of the 7 Wonders of Vaudreuil-Soulanges in terms of heritage.
Objectives
Attract a wide audience to the Trestler House's activities.
Increase the Tresler House's role as a regional cultural hub with national and international reach.
Encourage connections and exchanges between the business and socio-cultural communities that could lead to beneficial cooperation to the entire community.
To contribute to improving the quality of cultural life in our society through a hub for exchanges and ideas.
A non-profit organization, the Foundation is managed by 11 members of Board of Directors who oversee its preservation and promote its goals in order to promote the Trestler House and its national heritage.
The Trestler House has also established a well-structured volunteer association
(nearly 30 active and dedicated members).
